Objectivos
To reflect and to develop skills and sensitivity to deal with the complexities of interpersonal and intragroup processes in organizations. The course will have a special focus on dynamics of communication conflict and negotiation at the interpersonal, group and organization levels. The course will Increase students' theoretical and practical knowledge, regarding their role as communicators and negotiators in a variety of organizational roles. This course has a strong hands-on component; it privileges the active participation of students, in and outside class, rather than the theoretical study of the issues.
Programa
- Introduction to organizations: formal and informal organization networks; intra-organizational communication and knowledge transference; - Group dynamics: cohesion, creativity, performance and conflict; - Interpersonal behaviour: communication, ego-networks, social capital, leadership and power; - Conflicts and negotiation.

Final group essay - 45% Ego networks individual exercise - 20% Conflict exercise - 10 % Negotiation simulation exercise - 10% Short oral presentation - 10% Short critical analysis of oral presentations - 5% Enrolment Requisites: Students having previously enrolled in Comunicação e Negociação (CNG) cannot enrol in this course, neither can students who plan to enrol in CNG simultaneously. Students with overlapping curses will not be admitted in this course.
