Objectivos
Intended learning outcomes (knowledge, skills and competences to be developed by the students): • LO1 Understand the Key Drivers of Digital Transformation: Students will gain knowledge of the main technological, market, and regulatory factors that drive digital transformation. • LO2 Analyze the Impact of Digitalization on Business Models: Students will develop the ability to assess how digitalization alters business models and enhances value creation. • LO3 Develop Digital Transformation Strategies: Students will learn to create and implement strategies to guide digital transformation in various sectors. • LO4 Apply Strategic Frameworks to Manage Disruptions: Students will apply strategic frameworks to effectively manage and adapt to digital disruptions. Session 2: Fundamentals of Digital Transformation • Understanding what digital transformation entails. • Examining digital disruption and the technologies reshaping industries. • Key drivers of digital transformation: Cloud computing, IoT, AI, big data, and automation. Session 3: Digital Business Models and Value Creation • Exploring various digital business models: Subscription-based, platform-driven, and freemium models. • Analyzing case studies of organizations that successfully transformed through digital strategies. • How digital ecosystems create and enhance business value. Session 4: Digital Technologies and Their Impact on Business Transformation • Cloud computing’s role in enhancing business flexibility and cost-effectiveness. • Leveraging big data analytics for smarter decision-making. • The rise of IoT and its impact on Industry 4.0. • The integration of AI and machine learning into business processes. Método de Avaliação
Teaching methodologies (including students' assessment): Lectures, case studies, group projects, and digital business simulations. The course will be delivered through a mix of: • Lectures: Conceptual understanding of digital strategy, business models, and transformation frameworks. • Case Studies: In-depth analysis of companies that have successfully implemented digital strategies and transformed their business models. • Workshops: Practical sessions focused on digital tools (e.g., data analytics platforms, CRM tools) and strategic exercises (e.g., customer journey mapping). • Guest Lectures: Industry leaders and professionals sharing insights on digital leadership and transformation challenges. • Group Projects: Students will work on a real-world business scenario to develop a digital strategy and present a transformation roadmap.
