Objectivos

1) Analyze the role of strategy and sustainability in the context of business and society + Provide an in-depth knowledge of the management of basics and principals concepts about Strategy and Strategic Planning for Sustainability. 2) Develop skills to understand and to decide how the company organizes, implements and controls the strategic effort + To be able to formulate and implement strategies and understand industries, businesses and competition, for sustainability.

Week 1 + 2: Basics Concepts + Delineating sustainability challenges and visions + Week 3+ 4: External and Internal Environment Week 5 + 6 +7: What we know about business strategies for sustainability? + Formulate Business and Corporate Strategies + Contradiction, integration and transformation of business and sustainability logics Week 8 + 9: A Strategic approach to sustainability Week 10: The Importance of Sustainability in Business Week 11 + 12: The Impact of Corporate Sustainability on Organizational Processes and Performance

a) Carrying out 2 examinations + class discussions on pedagogical cases in english b) 1 examination about concepts c) Development of a team-project + small single works with presentation and discussion in class d) Interpreting videos and readings - cases about strategies for sustainability of real firms. e) Formulate strategies for sustainability for businesses and firms f) General debate in class about each team work g) Evaluation of the work in stages, with the possibility of introducing in the next step all the criticisms and inputs received in the previous step
