Goal:
1) Ue the most well-known mathematical techniques in the recent literature in Economics and to understand their interpretation.
2) Apply mathematical models to theoretical and empirical questions from economics and political economics.
3) Show knowledge of the literature on mathematical methods in Economics in general and/of the bibliography in particular.
Syllabus.
1) Topology and fixed point theorems;
2) Optimisation in Rn;
3) Differential equations and qualitative theory;
4) Dynamical optimisation.
Evaluation Method
The final grade, on a 0-20 scale, is assigned on the basis of a closed-book written exam.
