Initial introductions by faculty and students. Assessment of students' prior competencies in finance and ethics (mixed group). Presentation of the course syllabus. Organization of group work with students for ongoing assessment.

Content discussed: Introduction to ethics from a historical perspective: universality and relativism, themes related to the trajectory of key concepts such as rights and tolerance in the West. World War II and the formation of the contemporary ethical framework.
