- Overview Financial Markets, Firms (types of firms; ownership versus Control) and Financial Statements (balance Sheet, income statement and Cash flow statement, and some key financial indicators).

- Managing Investment Decisions: Basic Concepts (time value of money, discounting, compounding, annuity, perpetuity), Investment Decision Rules (net present value, internal rate of return, payback period, incremental IRR, nominal versus real analysis, equivalent annuities when comparing projects with different lives, profitability index), break-even, sensitivity and scenario analysis.
