Evaluation throughout the Semester (ETS) This evaluation includes the mandatory completion of 1(one) midterm test and the optional appreciation of the student?s intervention and commitment of students in the classroom context, with mandatory a minimum of 80% of attendance, of all classes (both theoretical and practical) in order for students to benefit from the ETS. Intervention and commitment of students in class and spontaneous written essays are optional. Nevertheless, these may be considered in the attribution of the final grade (with a maximum of 2 points), but only if they are globally positively marked. All students must enroll on the Final Written Exam. Should the grade obtained in the Final Written Exam be higher than the one obtained in the mandatory mini-test, the grade of the Final Written Exam shall prevail. Should the grade obtained in the Final Written Exam be lower than the one obtained in the midterm test, then a 50% average between the two scores shall apply. If students wish to improve their grade, they will be able to do so on the Final Written Exam of the Supplementary Exam Period. Only Portuguese legislation in force may be consulted during the Mid Term Test and the Final Exam.
