Métodos de Ensino e Avaliações
In the regular and re-sit assessment periods, the final mark is the weighted averaged of the marks obtained in a midterm test that takes place during the semester and in the exam. Both of these assessments are written and individual. Before computing the average, both of these marks, in the 0-20, should be rounded off to the nearest integer. However, the final mark results from this weighted average only if the mark of the exam is not smaller than nine points and in the cases where it exceeds the mark of the exam. Otherwise, the final mark is the mark obtained in the exam. Finally, students whose final mark exceeds 17 points may opt to take an individual oral exam. Regardless of their decision to participate, the final grade will not be lower than 17 points. The written assessments are closed-book except for the unit's formula sheet and tables. Only non-graphing, non-communicating calculators are permitted.
