Knowledge Assessment
The assessment of knowledge for the Regular Season (Época Normal - EN) consists of three components:
- Group Assignment covering the material from Chapter 1. In addition to the written report, this component includes a presentation and discussion.
- Test 1 covering the material from Chapters 2 and 3 (partial), to be held during the teaching period.
- Test 2 covering part of the material from Chapter 3, to be held on the date of the Regular Season exam.
The Final Grade (CF) is calculated by assigning 20% to the Group Assignment, 65% to Test 1, and 15% to Test 2. To pass the course, students must achieve a Final Grade of 9.5 or higher and a minimum score of 7.0 (out of 20) on Test 1 as well as on at least one of the other two components (Group Assignment or Test 2).
The assessment for the Resit Season (Época de Recurso - ER) consists of a final individual exam covering all the material taught in the course.
Permitted Reference Materials:
- Test 1: Students are allowed to consult a one-page handwritten cheat sheet (no tablets or photocopies).
- Test 2: Students are allowed to consult a half-page handwritten cheat sheet (no tablets or photocopies).
- Resit Exam: Students are allowed to consult a one-and-a-half-page handwritten cheat sheet (no tablets or photocopies).
The use of a scientific calculator is permitted in all written exams.
Students with a final grade of 17.5 or higher in any assessment season may be called to take a supplementary exam (oral or written). The final grade will be the result of the combined performance. Non-attendance at the supplementary exam will result in a final grade of 17.
If fewer than 10 students attend an assessment, it may be conducted as an oral exam.
Any omitted cases will be resolved in accordance with the General Assessment Regulations.
