Portuguese Course - Level A1 - 40 hours

Main Goals:

Provide students with basic skills for oral and written communication in Portuguese language.

Provide linguistic and cultural knowledge for quotidian life.

 

 

Contents:

 

1.        Linguistic and Communicative Skill

 

·          Greetings;

·          Formal and Informal forms of treatment;

·          Introduce yourself and other people;

·          Identify and describe persons;

·          Names, nationalities, cities, countries, numbers, professions;

·          Days of the week, months, seasons, hours, colours;

·          To approach someone to ask informations;

·          Family and house/home vocab;

·          Daily Routine;

·          Free times/ Hobbies.

 

 

2.        Grammar

 

·          The alphabet;

·          Verb to be: ser  and estar - presente tense;

·          Verb to have ( ter);

·          Differences between ser and estar;

·          Regular  and Irregular verbs: present tense;

·          Definite and Indefinite articles;

·          Feminine and Masculine gender;

·          Pronouns: personal, interrogative and possessive;

·          Interrogative and Negative sentences;

·          Movement and Time prepositions;

·          Costumar + Infinitivo: describe usual actions;

·          Present Continous: estar a + infinitivo;
