Assessment
The final grade is composed of:
Project: 30%. The project must be submitted and presented/discussed orally.
Exam component (laboratory): 70%.
During the regular assessment period, the exam component can be completed either through:
two partial computer-based tests during the semester; or
one full computer-based exam on the regular exam date.
For the two-partial option, each partial test requires a minimum grade of 7/20, and the overall exam component (average of the two partial tests) requires a minimum grade of 9.5/20.
For the full-exam option, a minimum grade of 9.5/20 is required.
The final course grade is calculated as:
Final Grade = 30% Project + 70% Exam Component
A minimum final grade of 9.5/20 is required to pass the course.
Repeat Assessment Period
Students who did not pass during the regular period retain their project grade. Their final grade is calculated as:
Final Grade = 30% Project + 70% Repeat Exam
A minimum grade of 9.5/20 is required in the repeat exam.
For grade improvement, previous assessment components are not considered. The repeat exam accounts for 100% of the new grade. The final recorded grade will be the higher of the previously obtained grade and the grade obtained in the grade-improvement exam.
Final grades above 17/20 may be subject to a complementary examination. In such cases, the minimum final grade awarded is 17/20.
