1. To pass this course, the student may opt to do an Assessment Throughout the Semester ( ATS ) or by a final exam

  2. Students who achieve a positive grade on the overall ATS evaluation (>= 9,5 over 20) will not have to do the final written exam; otherwise, the final exam will be mandatory (regular season or appeal season)

  3. Students with a positive grade in the ATS, can still opt to do the final exam, thus abdicating the ATS grade ; In this case, the final grade for the course will be the exam score, whatever it may be .

  4. The ATS will consist of 3 individual mini-tests and two group assignments, individually   assessed, with the following weights in the evaluation

  A. Best grade of the 3 tests   30%

  B. 2nd best grade of the 3 tests   20%

  C. Lowest grade of the 3 tests   10%

  D. Group presentation of a given theme in class   15%

  E. Excel and Access Project   25%

 

5. Not performing any of the components of the ATS corresponds to the achievement of score 0 on that component .
