Objectivos
1. Understand mathematical models to address problems such as production, assignment, scheduling, and clustering 2. Use analytical tools, including heuristics, applicable in the context of business decision making 3. Understand the type of data needed to support the models 4. Structure and analyze problems involving sequential decisions under uncertainty.
Programa
1. Linear and integer linear programing modelling; 2. Non-linear programming; 3. Heuristics and metaheuristics; 4. OpenSolver/Excel software; 5. Decision analysis including decision trees; 6. TreePlan/Excel software.
Método de Avaliação
Students performance evaluation will derive from the assigned team-works presented during the semester (70%) and from a final individual exam (30%).
