1. Continuous Evaluation System
In the Continuous Evaluation System the final grade is based on several components:
1. Average of 5 quizzes done during the lectures (60%) or the 1st Sit Exam ("Época Normal" exam) (60%). If you decide to do both the quizzes or the exam, your grade will be the maximum of the two components. There will be 7 quizzes during the semester:
- Quiz 1 - Working Capital
- Quiz 2.1 and 2.2 - Short Term Finance
- Quiz 3 - Raising Equity
- Quiz 4 - Payout Policy
- Quiz 5.1 and 5.2 - Debt and Leasing
Additionally, the students can earn extra points according with their performance on the Start-up Valuation Game. This game is not mandatory and it will take place during the lectures. The extra values are the following:
- 1st position in the game: 1 value
- 2nd position in the game: 0.5 value
- 3rd position in the game: 0.25 value
2. Final Evaluation System
In the Final Evaluation System, the only grading element is the final exam. Students who do not participate in the continuous evaluation system can only present themselves to the final exam in Época de Recurso.
Rules:
- In "Época de Recurso" students in the continuous evaluation system can keep their continuous evaluation grades (from IPO and Right case-studies), and the final grade will be the maximum of: (i) the weighted average of the case-studies and final exam grades (60%) or (ii) the final exam grade.
- Students may collaborate on assignments with other groups. Of course, collaboration does not mean simply copy what the other group has done. Each group must turn in a separate assignment and each group is responsible for the content of the assignment.
