We first solved exercises related to building confidence intervals for two populations' means and proportions. We then discussed hypothesis testing (for the population mean with known and unknown variance), ANOVA, chi-square goodness of fit statistics as well as contingency tables.

We solved exercises from Chapter 7 (Newbold et al.) about building confidence intervals for the population mean, proportion and variance (including finite sample corrections and determining the sample size to achieve a desired margin of error). We then discussed how to form confidence intervals about population means (with known and unknown variance assumed equal or unequal) and population proportion.
