Many thanks for attending the first lesson of our new course Research Management and Public Policy.
Please find attached the presentation from last evening.
Although we have all been recently remembered that “nostalgia is not a strategy”, next week we will dive into Research Systems and Actors by taking an historical perspective and analysing some relevant benchmarks.
As suggested reading, there is a nice 2018 reference from seasoned authors in the field: “Three frames for innovation policy: R&D, systems of innovation and transformative change”.
It is quite long, and I do not expect you to read all through, but maybe peek on the basics of the frameworks presented as background for our trip down the memory lane.
