We discussed about different types of data (cross-section, time series and panel data). We illustrated the idea of the OLS and presented the different approaches to obtain the OLS estimators (seen as method of moments estimators or obtained by minimizing the sum of squared residuals).

We talked about the importance of econometrics, what are the steps of an econometric model. We introduced the simple linear regression model and discussed the interpretation of the parameters.
