In Session 5 we will first discuss the emergence of the Western-led “Liberal Order” in the post-1945 World War II and how it has been challenged since 2008 by the Rising of the Rest, in particular East Asia. It will also focus on how the under challenge liberal order is also facing an increasingly state and non-state tech-driven securitised global arena.
