We discussed the normal approximation of the binomial distribution and the exponential distribution. We also discussed about jointly distributed random variables, sums of random variables (their expectation and variance), and linear combinations of random variables. We also solved a few problems related to the normal distribution (covered in the previous lecture).

We did a recap of continuous random variables and focused on the uniform distribution and the normal distribution (illustrating their use in some applications exercises). We highlighted the properties of continuous distributions, of expectations, variances and covariances of continuous random variables.
